Being told your home needs an energy audit before you can sell it is typically not welcome news. That would be our initial reaction as well. Luckily, Austin's ECAD energy audit process is a piece of cake. This is only informational for the buyer. You do not need to make any upgrades before selling your home.

Additionally, there is no need to worry about your old single pane windows or dated AC unit. There is nothing on the report that suggests or recommends you to replace those high dollar items. We’re mainly looking for the “low hanging fruit”, like insulation, window shading, duct sealing and other weatherization measures.
